E Link Gate Pioneering Remote Control Solutions in Vietnam

Founded in 2015, E Link Gate Joint Stock Company is a Vietnamese enterprise specializing in remote control technology, focusing on delivering innovative solutions for remote IT troubleshooting.

The core idea behind E Link Gate was inspired by real-world needs in both corporate and personal settings, where technical issues—especially operating system failures—often cause work disruptions and dependence on on-site technical staff. The company’s solution was to develop specialized hardware devices: eLinkKVM for businesses and eLinkMe for individual users. These devices allow users to simply plug a USB stick into their computers to automatically connect to the cloud platform and contact a technical expert. The most outstanding and distinctive feature of this technology is its ability to remotely control a computer even in the event of a serious system failure, including reinstalling Windows while still ensuring data safety. This capability goes beyond what many popular remote access tools like TeamViewer or AnyDesk can offer, as those often fail to operate when the system crashes or the BIOS malfunctions.

As early as 2016, E Link Gate secured patents in both the United States and Vietnam for this remote-control solution. Owning these patents not only protects the company’s intellectual property but also serves as a foundation for pursuing international partnerships and affirming its technological capabilities in the eyes of investors. By 2019, the eLinkKVM device had been successfully commercialized, serving not only domestic clients but also being exported to markets such as Japan, India, Germany, and Canada—countries with strict standards for technology and cybersecurity. This presence highlights both the broad applicability and international competitiveness of the product.

Alongside its technology development, E Link Gate has been an active participant in Vietnam’s innovation and startup ecosystem. In 2019, the company was named among the top 10 at TECHFEST Vietnam—a national competition that gathers leading tech startups from across the country. This achievement helped boost its visibility in the startup community and opened access to further support programs. Notably, during its appearance on Season 4 of Shark Tank Vietnam, the company successfully secured a commitment of 9.218 billion VND in investment from Shark Bình. This was not only a significant financial boost but also a gateway to a broader network through a strategic investor.

The product development journey of E Link Gate underscores the critical role of research and development (R&D) for tech startups. A strong, early investment in R&D—rather than rushing to release an incomplete product—enabled the company to build a sustainable core technology.

Another valuable lesson lies in E Link Gate’s strategic timing in presenting itself to the public and investors. Instead of seeking funding too early, the company focused on proving the value of its technology through practical solutions, attracting real customers, and generating revenue before stepping into the investment arena such as Shark Tank. This approach helped strengthen its negotiating position and built investor confidence in the product’s market potential.

For early-stage tech startups, the story of E Link Gate is a concrete example of the importance of aligning R&D with real market needs and maintaining a long-term commitment to developing core technologies. A deep understanding of end-user problems—especially in enterprise environments—can create a strong competitive edge over existing solutions. Moreover, proactively engaging in the innovation ecosystem, leveraging competitions and support programs to test, validate, and promote technologies, is a smart strategy for expanding opportunities and securing growth resources.

In today’s context, where data security and remote support are becoming increasingly essential, E Link Gate’s technology is not only timely but also has strong potential to lead digital transformation trends in IT support both in Vietnam and across the region.
