Koru Capital Investment Debuts as New Growth Engine for Vietnamese SMEs

Koru Capital Investment has officially launched as a new investment arm focused on supporting the next generation of Vietnamese SMEs. Unlike traditional fund managers, Koru Capital invests directly from its own balance sheet, allowing for greater flexibility in mandate, ticket size, and investment horizon.

According to its announcement, Koru Capital is targeting companies with strong growth potential in sectors such as FMCG, B2B services, healthcare, elderly care, petcare, entertainment, and technology. To qualify, businesses must have a minimum of three years of operating history and be profitable at the EBITDA level.

The firm is particularly interested in companies that have moved beyond the household or solo-founder phase and are positioned to transition into more structured, investment-ready enterprises.

In addition to providing capital, Koru Capital plans to play an active role in helping portfolio companies professionalize operations. This includes support in building corporate governance functions—covering finance, accounting, legal, and strategic planning—as well as assistance with long-term funding and exit strategies, including trade sales and IPOs.

Koru Capital’s launch reflects the growing demand for growth-stage capital in Vietnam’s SME landscape, as well as a broader shift toward investment models that offer both funding and operational support. The firm is currently welcoming connections with founders seeking to elevate their companies to the next level.
