MudOn is an innovative startup in the green transportation sector, offering shared electric vehicle charging solutions for residential and commercial areas. Amidst rapid urbanization and the growing demand for electric vehicles, MudOn has identified a clear market gap: the lack of convenient charging infrastructure that meets the needs of residential communities. The original technological idea was born from a practical challenge—how to make EV charging accessible to individuals without requiring them to invest in private chargers, while also encouraging property owners to participate in the sharing economy by offering charging services.
MudOn’s technology solution is an integrated system combining high-quality charging station hardware with smart management software. This technology tracks electricity consumption per user, enabling transparent, accurate, and fair billing, thereby fostering trust and acceptance among users. This marks a significant advantage over traditional public charging stations, which often lack personalization and cost transparency. The system also supports station owners in monitoring and analyzing performance and revenue, helping them optimize operations and increase profitability.
To date, MudOn has deployed more than 1,500 charging stations nationwide. With this figure, the startup helps reduce approximately 500 tons of CO₂ emissions each month—equivalent to removing about 67,500 gasoline-powered vehicles from the streets. These figures not only demonstrate environmental effectiveness but also highlight the feasibility and scalability of the model. Integrating charging solutions into residential areas not only offers convenience for residents but also increases property value, opening up a new approach to sustainable urban development.
In terms of ecosystem development, MudOn goes beyond simply providing charging stations. The startup has signed the MoveToZero pledge—an initiative promoting the transition to sustainable energy. This is a strategic move to establish MudOn as a pioneer in the electrification of urban transportation. Its shared charging model is also contributing to the creation of a connected EV charging ecosystem, where small operators, building owners, investors, and the public can participate together.
At the P4G Vietnam Summit 2025, MudOn was selected to support the organization of a product showcase booth. This significant event provided the startup with an opportunity to connect with international investors, expand its partner network, and further develop green mobility models in major cities. Additionally, the startup has received technical support from innovation-driven startup acceleration programs, including key ecosystem players such as the National Innovation Center (NIC) and UNDP Vietnam. These collaborations enabled MudOn to access expert advice, testing infrastructure, and commercial partners.
One key lesson from MudOn’s development journey is the integration of environmental goals with a scalable business model. Rather than simply creating a charging product, they have built a comprehensive technology platform that connects users with service providers. The ability to align the interests of communities, investors, and property owners has become a sustainable competitive advantage. This model illustrates that in the field of green transportation, technological breakthroughs don’t always need to be technically revolutionary—they can be game-changing when closely aligned with real market needs.
MubOn focuses not only on providing electric charging services but is also working to build a comprehensive energy transition ecosystem, supporting the adoption of green transportation solutions in urban areas, contributing to sustainable development goals and reducing the impacts of climate change.
